Crack Addiction Treatment
Is this rapist a victim too?
My friend was raped while in a treatment facility.
The rapist was there seeking help for a sexual addiction.
She does not want to press charges against him because she feel he was a victim too.
The person who placed my friend there knew this other residents history, including convictions, but threw her in there with him without warning her.
Throwing a 24 year old blonde marine with a disabling injury is like throwing crack into betty ford.
Some think that because she doesn’t was to charge him, that the facility has no liability. My friend has lasting mental and physical damages.
What are your thoughts?
What so you think about her mindset that he is a victim too (along with his wife who trusted he was being treated)?

Once you enter a treatment facility it is the responsibility of the facility to keep you safe while you are there. Since the staff knew that “a patient” had a sexual addiction and was being treated for this problems at this facility– this “patient” should have been kept away from “female” patients-.
Everyone who is in treatment is a victim in one way or another. But that is not the point here.
A CRIME HAS BEEN COMMITTED HERE AND THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. Your friends mental and physical well being depends on it.
Her main concern now is to take care of her self and to get better. The other person has to do the same for himself. Be there for your friend.
Do encourage her to have the facility pay for their dereliction of duty in not keeping her safe. Also, by reporting this to the authorities, she is making it known that the other person is not being properly supervised or treated also. Perhaps this may get the attention of officials that can get getter help and care for both these people.
